1. earthquake - The vibration of the Earth's surface caused by volcanic activity or underground movement from a fault plane.
2. fault - Cracks in the Earth's crust caused by motion within the crust.
3. seismic wave - Vibration generated on Earth by an earthquakes, explosion, or similar phenomenon.
4. crust - The outer layer of the Earth.
5. mantle - The rocky layer of the Earth between the crust and the core.
6. outer core - The layer of the Earth that surrounds the inner core.
7. inner core - The hot and solid center of Earth.
8. mineral - Natural Earth material and/or ingredients create minerals.
9. igneous rock - Formed from cooled magma on the Earth's surface.
10. sedimentary rock - Rocks that are formed by a mix of materials on the Earth's surface.
11. relative age - The process of using rock layers to figure out the age of another layer that surrounds it.
12. metamorphic rock - Are rocks that have changed from one type of rock into another type caused by pressure or heat.
13. rock cycle - An illustration that is used to explain how the three rock types are related to each other and how Earth processes change a rock from one type to another.
14. imprint - To produce a mark or a pattern on a surface by the use of pressure.
15. mold cast - The exact imprint of an organism is the mold and the exact stone replica of an organism is the cast.
16. amber - Fossilized tree resin.
